Hi Thar!
Hey guys whats goin on in this GW forum
I just bought the game yesterday at futureshop, it was only 40$ so a figured id give up WOW for 2 months and give GW's a chance. A few questions I have... 1) Will GW ever get official forums? Im not saying anything is wrong with this one, but most games (Pristontale, World of Warcraft, etc) have official boards, whereas with GW all the links I found take me to fansites? Is there an official board up already I maybe somehow missed? 1b) if there isnt, is this the most popular GW forum out there? I just wanna be where the action is ^_^ 2) I decided on an elementalist, I like the playing feel, and suprisingly it seems stronger than a lowbie warrior, maybe I just didnt know how to play him ^_^ For an elementalist what kind of weapon should I use primarily? I like the ranged attacks with my wands... and if I can stick with them and still have a really good dps than I will be happy ^_^ 2b) should/what should I choose as a secondary profession? Maybe go as a monk so a high damage dealer/healer FTW combo? 3) are there any tradeskills in game like WoW had? Mining? Leatherworking? etc? First Aid was great, it lets Anyways I really like the way female elementalists look so its enough to keep me away from my tauren shaman in WOW Now the trick is to get me liking this game so much I dont go back hehe ^^ All replies are appreciated, even flames if something ive said was dumb and I have it coming ^_^ |

One other thing I forgot to mention...
In WoW they allowed you to modify the user interface, that was definatly one of the best features ive ever seen added to a game. Usually with MMORPG's its like "OMG HES HACKING THE GAME" if you use a mod, whereas with WOW they werent cheats... Are there UI mods I can get for GW, and would it be considered cheating to use them? I dont mean is it 'cheap' to use one, but can I lose my account for it? |

is there any other combinations you would recommend for an elementalist? what about a ele/mes mix for high damage and battle control? what class is best for 1 on 1 pvp? |

no such thing as a "best Class" for pvp group or 1v1. When you consider that you have a massive amount of different choices. (150 skills but can only take 8 with you.....yesh talk about decision making) not to mention skill point placement...nope definetly not a best build out there IMO....oh well just my two cents.

1. No official forums. You can find a list of the other big ones at www.guildwars.com
2. There is no 'best'. See our Campfire for more details. 3. Nope. |
